{"id":156,"date":"2022-10-18T10:42:22","date_gmt":"2022-10-18T10:42:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pompespcr.fr\/pumping-manure\/"},"modified":"2022-12-06T10:31:34","modified_gmt":"2022-12-06T10:31:34","slug":"pumping-manure","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.pompespcr.fr\/en\/pumping-manure\/","title":{"rendered":"Pumping manure"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Transferring manure<\/strong> for anaerobic digestion and compost formation faces three main obstacles:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Depending on the animal, the PH of the manure varies from 4 for ducks to 7.5 for pigs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The manure may <strong>contain foreign matter<\/strong> such as feathers, horn or hoof debris, cement rubble, identification ear notches, pieces of baler twine, various mechanical parts&#8230;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>When immobile<\/strong>, a <strong>crust<\/strong> forms on the surface, which can be very hard, especially in summer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our solution <strong>addresses<\/strong> all three of these issues:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>PCR pump<\/strong> uses 316L stainless steel couplings and various types of rubber tubing, which retain their <strong>strength and suction capacity<\/strong> regardless of the manure\u2019s PH factor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>reinforced fabric armature<\/strong> and straight tube design allow solid or stringy <strong>foreign objects to be absorbed<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>To avoid the formation of a settling crust<\/strong>, the manure is put into motion by a wave, generated by a mixer. In order to optimise the operation, the pump is equipped with a bevelled rod mouth at the end, which is inserted into the suction pipe.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some <strong>fifteen PCR pumps<\/strong> have already been installed, in collaboration with specialist engineering firms for the transfer of manure. Some of the units convey the manure to a compactor located 700 metres from the recovery pit. A 100\/110 mm diameter pipe is used for the discharge. The &#8216;Reverse&#8217; function in the control cabinet is highly recommended, as it allows the pump to be reversed in the event of a blockage and <strong>the whole network to be cleaned if the system is stopped for a long period<\/strong> of time, such as when <strong>disinfecting<\/strong> cowsheds.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Transferring manure for anaerobic digestion and compost formation faces three main obstacles: Our solution addresses all three of these issues: Some fifteen PCR pumps have already been installed, in collaboration with specialist engineering firms for the transfer of manure.
